Why Gymnastics?


Mission Statement

The Burlington Gymnastics Club provides quality programs in Artistic and Rhythmic gymnastics in a safe and positive environment which will encourage learning and development of the whole child. Gymnasts can train at the Recreational or Competitive level from beginner to National ability.

Club Structure


The Burlington Gymnastics Club is governed by a twelve (12) member Board of Directors. There are five (5) standing committees and three (3) operations committees that oversee the day to day operations.

Board of Directors:

Responsible for all legal workings of the corporation, the facilities and the By-Laws. The Board of Directors meets at least 4 times per year.

Standing Committees (5):

By-Law / Policies and Procedures; Facility Management; Finance; Human Resources; Recreation Management

Operations Committees (3):

Business; Competitive Management; Programs

The Burlington Gymnastics Club Inc has 3 equally important and independent program areas: Recreation; Competitive Artistic and Competitive Rhythmic. Recreation Management and Competitive Management Committees are responsible for governance of their respective areas.

  • To assist the Board of Directors fulfill their mission statement by ensuring the Recreation Program is the best possible and is affordable and accessible to all citizens of the Burlington community
  • To assist the Board of Directors with the Management of the Maple and Mainway Centres

Competitive Management Committee
    Mandate:
  • To assist the Board of Directors to fulfill their responsibilities of offering Competitive Artistic and Rhythmic programs

Financial and Program Policies

  • The Burlington Gymnastics Club operates a “peanut-free environment”. Please do not bring any food products made out of, or containing peanuts to the gym.

  • The Burlington Gymnastics Club reserves the right to change, combine or cancel classes at its discretion.

  • Payment in full is required at the time of registration.

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit and cash payments.

  • Cheques will only be accepted three (3) weeks prior to the start date of a session. Cheques will not be accepted for any summer, holiday, March Break or PD Day Camps.

  • There is a one time $5.00 administration fee applied to all new on-line accounts 2012 - 2013 sessions.

  • 10% discount off the total fees, for one participant registering in multiple classes (two or more classes per week)

  • 10% discount off the total fees for three siblings, each registered in the same session

  • A $25.00 administration fee will be charged on all returned payments.

  • Refunds are only provided prior to the first start date (9:00 a.m.) of the session and are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.

  • Refunds are only provided for Birthday Parties cancelled 2 weeks prior to the party date and are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.

  • There are no refunds for camps (P.D. Day, March Break, Holiday or Summer Camps - credits can be given).

  • There will be no refund for missed classes.

  • Makeup classes are not provided.

  • If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, a message will be placed on our website and voicemail. Regrettably, there will be no make-up classes.
